Sometimes I feel that time is flying by ( like when I'm mini-ing ) and at other times, it's not going fast enough ( ( like when I have the flu! ). But things are looking up. I have had a couple of bright spots. One of them is this: two Michael's Hutches and some mini ornaments! My friend gave them to me a few weeks ago and when I tried to pin her down as to where she got the hutches, she confessed that she's had them for nearly 2 years! But the fact that she was thinking of me, made me very happy.
I wanted some hutches because I'm going to try my hand at Shabby Chic. What better way is there to start than with hutches. For me at least. This one is the closest I have to Shabby Chic and although I like it, I do have some other ideas that I'm excited about.
The other thing I got done was just a little scenario to display some of the things I had made from natural woods and minis I received in a fairy swap a few years ago. I covered the base with some scrap book paper and then got a print on line to make the backdrop. I liked how it turned out and may make this permanent. My apologies for the quality of photos and I hope you can click to enlarge. I have plans for one more scenario for the things I made from "The Naturals" posts I did.
IN OTHER NEWS:
A new miniature magazine! Creative Miniaturist! I'm really excited because this magazine has such potential! The photography is excellent, easy to follow tutorials and lots of tips for the new or "seasoned" miniaturist. I have a link on my left sidebar so check it out, join up and enjoy! ( A big thank you to Diane Costanza for including my tut on Camper's coffee Pot- my most viewed post ever)
Last but not least... I will be having my first ever giveaway next week. Can anyone guess what it's going to be?? Details and pics coming soon!
Til next time!
Diane
